At VanDusen B. G. Weed?

    Since it's from S America they probably planted it there originally, if not in that exact spot then in the vicinity. And I think I may have seen the species some years ago, obviously planted and probably labeled in the part of Van Dusen you are talking about. I have had two spontaneous seedlings come up on Camano Island in locations some distance from the original planting, which died quite early in the game. The seedling that remains is inside a greenhouse.

    There was also one on a fence for some time at the Seattle arboretum. The Camano garden is on the cold side, plants I can grow here near Seattle freeze out up there.
