I have recently purchased some Astrophytum CV seed and are a little confused with the meaning of the cultivar words. If any body could give me some info on what these words and names are refering to that would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there, the ones you have listed are all Japanese mutant experiments. Very cool. From what I gather, these plants grow best when grafted.

Great websites from Lila. I also recommend typing any of them into http://www.flickr.com/, which is where I found a bunch of neat ones. Just typing "Astrophytum" into the search brings up some pretty fascinating looking cultivars.

I'd love to have a Super Kabuto!

    Cheers,
    -Bambi
