    Hello,

Usually I can identify most common houseplants from the web or other sources, but these two have me stumped.

    #1
Red leaves on fleshy stems (similar to coleus). However, leaves are coarse, ribbed and grow in clusters. Slow grower.

    #2
Variegated leaves with mixtures of red, green, and beige patches. Rapid grower. I initially thought iresine herbstii, but neither the leaf shape or color seem to match.

    Thanks,

The first one appears to be Pilea spruceana.

    Hi,

You folks really rock! Two for two.

#1 does seem to be Pinea spruceana. Although mine is in pretty sorry shape.

It seems to be a bit temperamental and probably needs to be restarted and kept pinched-back from what I'm reading. Its quite different in appearance from the more common "Aluminum Plant" Pilea cadierei.

2# Pseuderanthemum atropurpureum definitely matches the URL provided by Joe Keller.

Thanks again. I cant tell you the number of web searches I've done trying to identify these two plants.

    Regards,
