Hello, Someone sent me this picture of Aspen leaves and they thought they were diseased. To me, they just look rough like all Aspen leaves do this time of year. They probably did have most of their juice sucked out by aphids...other than that what leaf problems do you see? Thanks, Laura Ralph Alive and Well Organic Gardening www.aliveandwellorganic.com
Leaf blights are common on aspens in this climate. I'm not sure which particular one causes the frequent blackening prevalent here, but your picture resembles this one - even having the characteristic pale spotting inside the dark sections. http://www.for.gov.bc.ca/hfp/publications/00198/Marssonina_leaf_blight.htm
