Artist Looking for plant material for fabric print transfers. Does anyone have of the following that is established enough for me to have some trimmings: Dogwood Eucalyptus Grevillea Salt Cedar(Tamarisk) Prunus
When you say "Prunus", can it be any cherry or plum? There are hundreds of ornamental cherry and plum street trees in Vancouver and surely in North Vancouver that have rootstock growth, where that source of that growth is not even the same as the ornamental that was grafted onto it. For instance, some of the purple leaf plums have suckers from the ground that have green leaves. A lot of the cherries have suckers with leaf margins that look different from the margins of the leaves on the tree canopy. Either cherry or plum would be good. What I’m asking is for someone to invite me to take plant material for any of the above from their home/garden.
Right, but for those, there should be no problem taking your cuttings from the unwanted growth that's easy to find on city streets.
