Hi there. You've been such help to me before and I sure do appreciate your assistance in ID-ing the wildflowers I find here in the Kelowna area. I am attaching a few images of some DYF that I am stuck on. This is (I think) Arrowleaf Balsamroot, but am not 100% sure. I suppose it could also be Black-eyed Susan??? I'll put some more in another post in this thread. Hope that's okay. Just trying to give you more to work with :D As well, I have another page on my (redesigned) weeds and wildflowers website devoted to "Mystery Plants", if you wouldn't mind having a look there, too. There's quite a few, and some I think I know, but just need some confirmation before I plop them onto their Plant Files pages. Many thanks to all who give so generously of their time and knowledge so others can learn, too. Cheers, Sue
Here is the second one ... I know I have seen this one in my travels around the Internet looking for other wildflower IDs, but didn't bookmark it because I had never seen one before in my 10+ years of photographing wild plants. It's a new one for me and growing in a place I frequently go to photograph flowers. Dame's Rocket is another new one growing in this particular area, that has never been there before. I am inclined toward Indian Blanket Flower, but the leaves do not seem to be the same as what I have found on the Net. Thanks! Cheers, Me again :D
And then there's this one ... sheesh, eh?????? I thought it was a Coreopsis of some kind, but am really not sure ......... how about a Wallflower of some variety??? Again, thank you. Cheers, Guess who again???
Thank you so much! #3 ~ not that variety but it pointed me in another possible direction for #2 ... what do you think?? http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=GAAR&photoID=gaar_003_ahp.jpg is the only one that grows in my area (or even close to it) as seen here: http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=GAILL #1 ~ Rudbeckia hirta L. var. pulcherrima http://plants.usda.gov/java/profile?symbol=RUHIP Any more ideas on #3?? Cheers, Sue
