this is Arisaema consanguineum, most likely, not even in the trifoliate group that A. franchetianum would be a member of
Yes, I absolutely agree that it's not Arisaema franchetianum. I've edited this post to "Arisaema sp.", and staff at the garden will take a look at the plant this upcoming week to see why the label mismatches the plant. We frequently receive plants that turn out not to be what they are purported to be. With over 8000 different kinds of plants, it is difficult to monitor all of them, verify ID, ensure labels still exist after being generated the first time, ensure labels reflect current science and so on. You can see how some slip through the cracks. I really appreciate your input - one of the reasons for the photo gallery is to document the plants visually and publish it to the world. This broadens the available pool of expertise scrutinizing our information and, with input, increase the accuracy of our documentation.
