are voodoo lillies poisonous for cats

    Does anyone know if voodoo lillies are poisonous for cats as I know many lillies are but ones like canna lillies are not.

    Sauromatum and Drancunculus, being aroids might be expected to have oxalic acid crystals in them that could cause problems - the "dumb" in the related dumbcane (Dieffenbachia) is the effect on the mouth produced by chewing it.

    Cannas are not related to these, belonging instead to the iris family (unless recent genetic studies or other work I don't know about has put them elsewhere).
