Possibly - so much depends on environment - where they're kept in relation to light, temperature, and humidity, plus what they're planted in - i.e. many plants may be in a very coarse, gritty soil for fast drainage (which is a good thing - keeps roots from rotting), with little peat (which is in most potting soils), and will need to be watered more often, depending also on genetics and the type of plant (cactus vs. African violet), but others won't. There's too much to factor in to be able to just say 'this' or that plant needs more water.
