How many Melliodendron xylocarpum photos am I allowed to post? I found this tree on or near the Fortune Trail where I was supposed to be looking for rhododendrons. No wonder I never found the rhodys. My next favourite was (were?) the fuzzy new leaves on the Meliosma pinnata on the entrance plaza. In the alpine garden, the Nothofagus antarctica 'Benmore' has interesting flowers. I've probably posted Sasa veitchii before, such great leaves.
