Most varieties of our apples seem to have apples with this problem, (white spongy blotches) and the condition reminds me of leaf miner damage. I had wonderful success using EndAll to beat the usual coddling moth problems. Everything looked excellent until I started picking off the fruit with June drop...and I saw this.

Just wondering if there is a known 'disease' or 'condition' so we can deal with this? The trees are espaliered, several varieties, none seem immune. Subject to cold wind and cool spring in Lillooet, BC. We did have good pollination tho.

Any help would be appreciated. Anne-Marie

The photo is of an apple I picked several days ago. I saw over time that there seemed to be a puncture in the middle of the white 'spongy' bits. Then the other small dents 'sunk in'.
