I have a an old apple tree in my backyard. It generally produces a great amount of fruit. I have a bit of a silly question, but I'm wondering if there is a way of 'catching' the apples so they don't just fall to the ground. Now the obvious answer is to get up and pick them, but I'm wondering if anyone has tried setting up a net or some other similar type of set up to help collect the apples? Just let me know if this is a real stupid question and I'm just being lazy...but I'm not a big gardener person, and I just don't seem to have the time in the fall to get out there and pick the apples before they fall.
