Last year I had one tree badly affected, with other not bad at all. I have made sure that all leaves were removed during the fall clanup, and have pruned this tree carefully. What can I do now before the green tips show? And then during the growing season?

The most direct route to success is to remove it and replace with a scab resistant/immune cultivar.
