Anyone know what this spider might be?

    It's my first time seeing it ever.
    Found it in Burbank, California ( 10 minutes away from Downtown Los Angeles )

    Thought for a moment it might be a male Phidippus johnsoni, redbacked jumping spider, but they are tiny---unlike yours!

    Hmm. Your spider bears resemblance to jumping spiders...Habronattus decorus, for example...but yours is, as previously noted, MUCH larger than H. decorus' 6 mm. length. Whatever its identity, eyes and chelicerae of that size indicate that it makes its living by observing and LEAPING onto its prey. And grasping it tightly.

    I think that you should submit your photo to BugGuide's ID department. They could not be anything but happy to see your photos, esp. #1---would gladden the heart of any Araneae-lover!
