A medium sized shrub, waxy leaves similar to a stephanotis, white periwinkle type flowers, and a strong gardenia/jasmine type scent that can be clearly detected up to 25 metres away.
Note the wicked thorns! This plant is growing on the Costa Blanca. Any help greatly appreciated.

Might it be Carissa macrocarpa, commonly known as Natal Plum?
