Identification: Anyone know what this is

Anyone know what chili plant this is i found it near dead in the trash can and decided to try and save it ..now its living and i have no clue what it is it appears to ripen yellow to red any help would be great ty

 

some of the ornamental peppers are not edible, be sure of your ID before you eat any peppers.

 

Some ornamental Solanums aren't edible (IE. Jerusalem cherry (Solanum pseudocapsicum) however all Capsicums are edible though not necessarily tasty.
