hello everyone! i'm new here, and i have a question.

does anyone have any microphotos of some plants, or know of a good database[even if it's someone i have to contact i'm ok with that!] where i can find them? there are specific plants that i am looking for [all natural dye plants] and if you need i can give you a list.

    any help would be appreciated!

micrographs! photos taken through a microscope.

my girlfriend is an artist and she is currently doing some cut paper work based on the molecular structure of dye plants, but has run out of resources for references.

That's a bit of a difficult request, but hey -- you never know. I would start by looking at the contributors to Nikon's Small World competition and seeing who works with plants.

You've probably already noticed, but the trouble anyone would run into while searching this topic is that dyes are often used in micrographs to stain tissue, so it's hard to find a good set of keywords for searching. Probably your best option is to use the scientific name of the plant and the term micrograph.
