I wish to send off for a maple I've been after,but to make it worthwhile(delivery costs)I should order another.The only one they have that intrigues me is Ap 'Nathan'. Is anyone growing this cultivar?..they say it leafs out pink but is a red leaf cultivar though some photos seem to contradict this.Is it worth having?
Hi Houzi, These are pictures I took two days ago, my plant was supplied by a well known Dutch grower. It is a very slow grower and, after 4 years in the ground, it is still less than 1 meter tall. It greens out somewhat in the summer (it is exposed to morning shade, afternoon sun) Gomero
Well if anyone had this plant,I thought it might be you :)...well it doesn't look the red leaf they claim,not a million miles from the colour of my 'Ariadne' right now,infact altogether quite similar,would you agree?(I'm sure you've also got that one ha)..with this in mind perhaps I'll give it a miss so many thanks Gomero...I've got to be real choosy in my tiny garden.
