From emery. They are 2.4mb, 8 megapixels, 3264x2448. Should not be a problem. They have uploaded before I finished typing this. I haven't done emery's test of reducing my speed, which I am very reluctant to do!! I can't do more on this today.
OH, emery said drag and drop. How does that even work? OK, did it. Wow, I hate that, you don't get any feedback that anything's happening. If you don't know how many you copied, you'd never know when you were done.
Now, I am going to attach files before the upload is finished. That was fine. I attached each of the first four thumbs as soon as the next upload started. I guess what is left is to reduce my speed, which of course I'm reluctant to do, so I'm afraid I'm postponing that test.
Drag some, drag others before the upload is finished. I have dragged them one-by-one. It's working fine, and now I see the box that indicates that the process is under way, a small black box that covers the the icons on the top line, instead of the progress bar under each photo name at the bottom. When using Upload a File, all the file names appear at once, and there is a progress bar for each.
OK drag and drop, using Firefox, adding files before the first is finished. I hate this interface, where all I see for the upload is that black box. I'll copy and paste one photo in. Hmm, that one, it renamed - the last two I did via copy and paste. So far, it has not converted anything to lower case. Here is what my screen shows for the uploads:
Hmm, it's not renaming them. Here is the name from an attached photo in posting 2 http://forums.botanicalgarden.ubc.ca/attachments/emery_img_2770-jpg.149504/ So it's when it attaches them, it renames them.
Still in firefox, guess I'd better test the attachment thing in Firefox. Name shows like this. Now I will attach it. I have to save this to get the link location.
