i have no clue what kind of plants these are.i got them all from a friend who also doesn't know. any ideas??? i don't know how to take care of them without knowing what they are!!!

the first one-1- remeinds me of something in the palm family. it has a base where the dirt meets and it looks like the leaves just come from there. dark green leaves, smooth.

the second-2- pic has green leaves that have a silver looking line. the stems are thin and break easily

the third-3- is weird. it has two-2- big leaves at the bottom, one of which is dying, and a bunch of new stems with leaves. the leaves jagged all around and are bumpy when you touch them.

the forth-4- i have in a hanging basket. this was recieved from my mother-in-law many years ago, and she doesn't remember what it is. leaves are green and smooth. its one of those plant where you can take the hanging part and put it back in the pot and it will grow off more.

any ideas would be much appreciated!!! it hard to give a plant it special needs when i don't even know what it is!! :-)

    thanks-

Number 2 looks like a wandering jew. No idea what the latin is, and I'm probably wrong anyway!

Had to chuckle a bit, but I think number 2 looks like wandering Jew, Tradescantia zebrina.

Common names of plants are not usually capitalized, but in the case of a proper noun like Jew, that part of the name should be.
