Any idea what this is?

    My boss at work had some in a vase. Asked her what they were and she had no clue, but she ended up digging some out of her yard and gave them to me. Any idea on what it is? Attached some photos to share. Thanks :)

    Considered a very invasive weed here in Australia. Grows along a lot of the waterways. My query is, is there a bright red version of this? I have seen something very similar in a garden and by grave as plantings. Looks very spectacular.

    Yes, numerous cultivars, ranging from yellow to red.

    Dulce et decorum est,
    Crocosmia mori.

    "It is good and sweet,
    for a Crocosmia to die."
