   Celosia argentea var. cristata (formerly Celosia cristata, according to Wikipedia), known as cockscomb.
   Celosia argentea var. cristata (Cristata Group) - Plant Finder says the flower heads can reach 12 inches across.
   I'm sure I've never seen one that size, though I've seen much smaller ones.
