Identification: Another young turkey tail or conk ?

    Another on a fallen twig. The orange colour stands out against the green moss
    background. Are these ones precusors of turkey tails or conks ?
    Kindly enlighten please.

    Good question: Turkey tails and conks of various sorts are polypores - they have a poroid surface on the undersides. Your mushroom here does not have pores, and although it is growing much like a turkey tail, it is included in the "crusts" category. Leave with you to pursue ID from there?
