Another Unknown

    A plant has grown up in my hedge. It is similar to sumac in form. The leaflets are connected by a sort of petiole along the axis. Leaves average 9" long. Trunk is brown, with rought bumps all over. No blooms. Will appreciate help in ID-ing this.

    It's not Euonymus because of the compound leaf, I agree with Winged Sumac.

    Thank you. It must be the Rhus copallinum (Winged Sumac, and since I have a butterfly garden, it will be a good addition for the red-banded hairstreaks (according to duke.edu. Thanks for the help.
