Another Roadside flower!!!

    Here is a wildflower/weed that has me stumped! I am in Central Saskatchewan. I cannot find it in my wildflower books! Thanks for looking , Andrea

    Could this be Gumweed (grindella squarrosa). It grows along Highway 41 close to Saskatoon.

    Quite possibly -- if it is anything like the Grindelia species I've encountered, a gentle squeeze of the flower bud should be enough to detect a turpentine-like smell on one's fingers.
