Another red flowered tree in California

    We saw this red flowered tree during our recent trip to Santa Barbara, California .. I've cropped one photo of the flower so as to provide an up close look. Also, I included a seed pod picked up in the area. There is certainly nothing like that here (Vancouver) - any ideas?
