I have been looking in about every garden center I go by and I have not seen this plant anywhere. These were all about 3-4 inches tall when my wife and I bought this house last year. They are a very hardy plant that does well in about anything...sun, shade, drought, flood; these plants have seen it all here.

The leaves are green on one side and purple on the other. If you have any info on these, please reply.

    Thank you.

    It's Tradescantia spathacea, Moses-in-the-Cradle.

That's it Ginger...thanks much. I liked it because it seems to be drought tolerant, but it's listed as an invasive plant here in FL...guess I'll have to research this one a bit more.
