Another Missing Mystery

    I took the attached shot yesterday at a park. Today they mowed the plant down. I have no idea what it was going to be when it grew up.

    I have this as well and am just startign out. I dead headed some last year and have the buds nd seeds. When should they be planted please and do they do well in partial shade?

    The color is gorgeous.

    They should be ok if they receive at least four hours of sun during the
    day. However your growing season may be too short to allow them to
    flower before the Autumn frosts kills them. You might try a small planting
    and reserve some seeds to plant indoors next March/April.
