We saw this yellow flowering tree during our recent trip to California, outside the Santa Barbara Mission .. the close up photo taken with a telephoto shows the flower clearly. My word, there is an absolute wealth of species there that we never see here. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
There are some grevilleas that can be grown locally. Hummingbirds love the flowers. http://www.pacifichorticulture.org/articles/grevillea-for-the-maritime-pacific-northwest/ They need a sheltered spot though.
