    Hi,

I need help classifying this beach succulent, which grows in tropical coasts and sandy dunes, and is drought and salt tolerant. I found it in Anguilla and it has a wonderful strong fragrance of greenery. I posted here about a year ago and someone thought it was bay cedar (suriana maritima). It definitely looks like it, but I actually found some specimens of bay cedar in Vieques, Puerto Rico, and while the two look a lot alike, they are not the same. Bay Cedar has bigger, yellow flowers, with glossier and harder leaves and does not have much fragrance. Anyone have any ideas? Can anyone perhaps recommend a site or book that has photos of all the species in the surianacae family? This particular specimen never took off and I would like to find it again and propagate all over my house - the smell is intoxicating.

    thanks!
