I have just returned from the Dominican Republic where I visited El Choco National Park near Cabarete on the north-west coast.

I photographed this tree (about 30cm DBH) which is about 5-8m tall. The leaves are about 12cm long (or longer). The close up photo of the bark is quite distinctive and I had hoped it would aid me in ID'ing this tree.

In my efforts to photograph everything I saw I fell behind the guide and missed a few plants. Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated!

Artocarpus is commonly planted and has this general appearance.
