I had an Amorphophallus Titanum for 4 years. The first year it leafed out, as did the 2nd, & third, but the 4th year it leafed out nicely, & when it went into the dormet stage it started to rot. It had very good light & airey soil, With vermiculite & pearllite. Indoors with grow lights & a west window. I also dusted it each year with a powder to prevent rot. I have 3 Amorphophallus outside they come up each year & stay out all year long, (not the Titanum) The Corm grow, & I could not stop the rot, I could like to get another one but do to the big expence, I sure don't want the next one to rot too. Any advice would be helpful. Pupperdean
Amorhphophallus Titanum The soil was very good, not soggy at all !! In the dormet state you don't water.
Nobody at a distance can do anything more than look at the circumstances: what was different the year it failed? Maybe you even had some cold weather at a bad time.
