Alpine Flower

    We shot this picture in July in the Cascades and we can't find a name or identify it from books we have.

    Are you trying to ID the asters, or the succulents?

    White flowers with narrow leaves is a species of stitchwort (Stellaria). Perhaps Stellaria longipes or Stellaria nitens.

    Not sure about the plant with the broad leaves.

    Long-stalked starwort (Stellaria longipes) might be correct whereas Stellaria nitens can be excluded because the sepals should be longer than the petals.

    Thanks, thats what the difficulty was its not one plant but two.
