The plant, which was purchased from a south England UK garden centre as an Alpine is invading my lawn. It has died in the rockery - where it was originally planted and I have lost the plant identification marker.
(First picture lawn, 2nd plant in my gloved hand, 3rd picture close up)
Does anyone know what it is please?
Does anyone know of a lawn treatment that might control it?
    Thank you

This plant is generally sold either as Isotoma fluviatilis or Pratia pedunculata / Lobelia pedunculata. These are similar but different species which are often mislabelled in horticulture, so I'm not sure which one it is. Whichever it is though, it is actually a plant that is generally used as a lawn substitute.

Makes the lawn look very nice, I'd leave it there ;-)

    Better for bees, too.
