I received this Aloe on my birthday as well and I'm not sure when I should re-pot it. I love my plants and I don't want to kill it.
Doesn't look too big for that container, but I worry that container may not have a drain hole. If not switch it to one that does and give it all the sunlight you can.
Thank you so much and the pot does have a drainage hole. Its in the sun but not all day and not right by the window.
This may sound silly, but I let mine grow until the pot keeps falling over. (Plant to tall for pot) Then I repot Mom plant and any pups that have come up. A wider the pot will encourage babies/pups. I believe every kitchen in the world should have this plant. If you burn yourself cut off an outer leaf, squish it and rub the inner goo on the burn. Relief and helps healing. Old wives tale but it works. barb
Yes my mom had one when i was younger and I loved it. I'll just leave it alone till it falls. I might put it in a clay pot tho.
