    Hi
I'm trying to get some advice. I have this aloe vera plant which is getting so top heavy it is falling over. Its being propped up with sticks but I'm wondering:

    - can I do anything to save it. Cut it back etc
    - have I done something wrong to get it to grow like this.

@Vimvimvim This is quite normal for Aloe Vera plants. There isn't anything unhealthy about your plant. Quite the contrary it's doing very well. It just needs repotting. The link below explains how and when (early Spring-Summer is ideal).

Dry climate origin succulents being grown under ordinary indoor conditions often suffer from inadequate light, become deformed over time as a result - if the window you have your aloe near is not providing a full south aspect that the sun comes through directly for most of the day you will probably have to make some changes in situation order to get the desired appearance from it.

Thanks. I'll give that a go.

Thanks. It's in a south facing window in good light. It's just getting too big to support itself.

When in growing in full optimal exposure these develop brownish tinting. Notice also how dense and erect the foliage of this planting is.
