What makes a blueberry bush produce less?? Each year it has less berries, this year it's had only a few handfuls, compared to buckets full 3 years ago... Any tips on what to do?? Does it need a trim, or fertilizer?? Thanks UBC!

I have the same problem this year, established older bushes that didn't have more than a dozen berries on them. I know the soil should be acidic so I'll add some appropriate fertilizer next Feb. We have Mason bees, so the potential for good set was there, but I don't remember if the bushes were loaded with flowers. Perhaps.
