Identification: Alien eggs growing in my garden

    these things began as small white mushroom like eggs but have become larger in the last week or so, i didnt think much of them untill i touched one when i was digging. Tt split in half and the stuff inside began to grow it was the size of a tennis ball and it began to grow very quickly and within a minute it was in a web like ball the size of a soccer ball, with black mucus running of it. i coulding belive it. please help

    hi im emmy's brother just wandering if the Clathrus cibarius are bad for my garden and are they poisonous

    Harmless, and helpful in breaking down compost into plant nutrients. I'd not advise eating it, though.
