Alfalfia meal and tomatoes

    i`m wondering if alfalfia meal is good for containered grow tomatoes .......can anybody answer........i`m getting yellowing leaves .....lack of calcuim????

    I've been impressed with container plants grown with alfalfa in the mix. Probably not complete enough to be the only nutrient source, but one of the better ones.

    Is the yellowing on the lower leaves, or the newly developing ones? What is in your container media now?

    the yellowing is the older bottom leaves.....im trying some epson salt.....my maters are in a self watering containers......i give them about 4 gallons a day...early girl and brandywine.....i just ordered some orgainic food.....calcuim ect.the soil is orgainic mirical grow.....6 hours of sun...thanks growest
