I just prepared this weeks seeds in my usual mini green houses I use for 5 years here in Vancouver. I washed them 100% (no soap) let them 100% dry then filled them with the usual layers of some LIFE earth and some black potting soil as always for the past year never had a problem. We had a lot of rain the last 3days so I kept them closed and covered. Today I went to look and they all had a heavy layer of a spider mesh type of mold. I was sooooooo alarmed as I spend two days on preparing all these seedlings. I immediately brushed the top of the soil with a fork to brake the mold and left them open hoping not having disturbed the seeds QUESTIONS: Do you think the mold will RE grow? Will it affect the seeds? (most are just 5mm under the top of the soil) I don't want to go out and buy it all again and RE do the work of washing and cleaning the mini greenhouses it quite a big job. WHAT TO DO to make sure the mold is not coming back? I thought of spraying soapy water but am concerned that is not good for my seeds. Thanks for any assistance
