I found this alder in Lighthouse Park on June 2, 2006. Is it Alnus viridis and is it possible to assign it to one of the subspecies (e. g. ssp. sinuata)? Colors may be somewhat distorted because I took this photograph using flashlight and tried to compensate for the too yellow color by increasing intensity of blue.

I'd agree with Alnus viridis; the location would certainly suggest subsp. sinuata, unless it is a cultivated plant of another subspecies (unlikely, as it isn't a widely cultivated species).

Thank you very much! I do not believe that it was a cultivated specimen.
