Alaskans have notoriously junky yards, some yards display every vehicle they have ever owned! In Alaska it costs money to have your old vehicle towed away (and it may be hundreds of miles to the nearest junkyard) and you have to pay to have it disposed of, besides, you might need a part from it sometime, you never know! I found this yard in downtown Anchorage, and was struck by the use of an old truck used as a giant planter. The resourcefulness and creativity of these folks never ceases to astound me. Notice the moose antler on the roof? This is the same as a hill billy having the washer and dryer on the front porch to show they can afford one. In Alaska, the more antlers on the roof the better the man provides for his family. This family was obviously well off!
