    Kokedama, I think. The magnetic aspect is new, but growing plants in balls of moss over a more stable matrix is a trend among urbanites. I would anticipate the suspension invites even more evaporation than traditional bonsai, so maintaining these requires discipline. Still, pretty cool, and better than a chia pet, although they still won't come when you call them.

    I'm not sure how practical these will be. Watering will be a problem because the "energy base" has no provision for catching dripping water. You will have to soak the moss ball and then wait for it to drip dry before placing it back on the base.
