I recieved a cedar arbor as a gift a few yrs back from a garden center. I am not sure what type of cedat it it if that is even a concern. My husband stained and "laquered" it ( I know.. not a good idea).The laquer has almost all dried up and peeled off. I would like the aged weather look however my husband thinks it will degrade the cedar wood faster. If this is true how much faster in the dry hot Colorado sun should I expect the unprotected cedar to last???
