I never got round to planting my agapanthus in the garden this year and wonder if I should just bring the plant indoors or should it be planted in the ground without or with its pot? It has grown tremendously during the year and I don't want to lose it. Many thanks for any info. Margaret
I'd say bring it in. http://www.agapanthus-freunde.de/uk/public/index.php?id=18 Better to be safe than sorry! (Until I read the info on this page, I was unaware that there existed both deciduous and evergreen agapanthus! My new botanical fact of the day.)
Many thanks Togata. I too did not realise that there were two basic types. We usually have very mild winters here but who knows what this one will be as we have been told it will be "the winter of a 1000 years" or "snowy" and "mild or wet" so I think your advice is to be followed. It will be interesting to see if it flowers next year. Margaret
