Is agapanthus winter hardy near Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast, BC? It would also be useful to know what zone we are in.
    Many thanks.

Some are more hardy than others, look for those that are.

    Thank you Ron & Greg.
Mine is an Africanus agapanthus which I bought on a whim (can be a dangerous thing to do), but I have been lucky because according to Vesey's site it is hardy, with care, in zone 8. I could not get the gov.ca site to work for me but then tried Vesey which identifies this area as 8a or b.
These have such gorgeous flowers so I am really looking forward to seeing it grow.
