Help! The attached photo is of an unknown plant that my colleague insists is a "rare and exotic new species" growing in her front yard. Her home used to be owned by a nurseryman, but I am having trouble identifying the plant with my local guides. Plant is doing well in south Louisiana soil (clay loam), vigourous grower, compound leaves, leaflets in 3's. Flower resembles a red chile pepper before opening, and once opened, exhibits a rather intimidating hook near anthers, I'm guessing to help pollen get deposited onto hummingbird heads.
    Thanks!!!!!
