Acers, aphids and humate.

    This year I used humate on all the acers. It was in the potting mix and also in the soil drench tea. Since I had zero issues with aphids I wonder if there is a connection between the minerals and deterring the critters.

    I did not notice any extra lady bugs/aphid enemies.

    Anyone else have notice a connection between plant nutrition and aphid infestation on maples?

    yes if use fertilize with plus Azote ,aphids grown very well,natural fertilize is ok only in autum/winter,in start spring is better chimical,or azote low...
