A friend who lives on Beresford street asked for the ID of these trees. I have never identified an Acer x freemanii, but I thought these might be good candidates for that ID. The leaf shape is similar to silver maples, almost as deeply lobed, and the habit looks similar to that tree; the leaf colour is like red maples, but I didn't see any trident-shaped leaves. What do you think? These are in Burnaby, so I don't have a database to check.
