12th April 2022 and my Jordan is leafing out, it's way behind @Xi-feng there in London, but we shire counties do suffer the cold in Spring.
It's a well-fought battle when you finally make it through the frosts, D (fingers crossed that's all behind us now anyway!) So glad to see your Jordan looking so happy as it leafs out!
28th April 2022 and my Jordan is glowing yellow in my garden this morning. And you can see a hint of Gwens Rose Delight next to it. I do love this combination.
I have Jordan arranged with Shirazz and Osakazuki (in the back there) to provide some big pops of contrasting colour: I'm really happy with this grouping, and I think it'll provide some good interest all year round as the colours continue to change:
here is my jordan, strong growth it becomes more and more imposing, I have to find a place in the shade!
My Jordan is loving the shaded position I've plonked it in, shame it can't stay there though, not enough room, but it can stay there for now.
28th May 2022 and my Jordan in full morning sun. Some strong winds the last few days, but it has coped well.

31st May 2022 and my Jordan has had it's best Spring for quite a few years. The yellows are just lovely. Going into Summer now though.
19th June 2022 and I wanted to show how my Jordan has coped with the mini heat wave. Not too bad this year so far.
My Jordan is also producing some vigorous new growth. It is in the most shady spot in the garden and only gets direct sun from late afternoon. It still has some burnt leaves so is definitely less sun tolerant than most of my maples.
Summer growth last year (Aug 17 x2, Aug 28 2023) and growing this spring in the ground in heavy acidic clay soil, constantly moist but well drained, northeastern exposure with sun only until about noon. Seems to like it. Strong summer growth branch is just beginning to leaf out (not shown), never knew that there could be such a delay and never seen it on my other maples. (Apr 19, Apr 25, Apr 29, May 4 2024).
